Chiropractice Care and Allignment of the Spine

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that is concerned with the alignment of
the spine and the effect that this can have on your body's nervous -system.
Your brain controls the body via the nervous system and
controls everything you do - the things you do consciously and those that you
don't - such as digesting your food.
Chiropractors
refer to misalignments of the vertebra as “chiropractic subluxations”.
Subluxations can interfere with nerve flow and can cause discomfort and pain.
Pain is very
good at getting your brain to change your movement patterns which is
good when you are injured, by stopping yourself from
further damage, but sometimes this altered
movement can continue even after the injury has healed. By careful assessment
of the whole spine and the relationship of one vertebra to the next, any
misalignment or segments that are not functioning correctly can be identified.
By making adjustments to the spine we can remove the irritation to your nervous
system.
By ensuring that the spine and nervous system are working
as they should, your bodies innate intelligence will enables you to perform at
your best.
Although chiropractors are known for adjusting the spine, misalignments can
also occur in other joints of the body such as the feet, knees and hands.
Adjustment of these areas can also help to restore correct function.
